SAFE-CITIES: 1st Workshop & General Assembly

Eirini Barri on behalf of IANUS participate in the SAFE-CITIES General Assembly Meeting and the first Workshop organised by the consortium in Gdansk.

During the workshop, the stakeholders specialised in the public spaces protection evaluated the Security Vulnerability Assessment (SVA) Methodology. The team also focused on evaluation of the Security Vulnerability Assessment (SVA) Methodology based on 8 scenarios of dangerous situations in public areas.

SPIRIT: Kick-off meeting

IANUS participated at the Kick-off meeting of the project SPIRIT, which took place in Brussels, on 11-12 May, 2023. SPIRIT is an EU-funded project that aims to enhance the preparedness and response capabilities of places of worship and religious mass gatherings using modern tools and security-by-design concepts in a holistic, yet cohesive approach.

Georgia Anagnostaki represented IANUS and participated at the KoM, during which the partners presented and discussed the project objectives, workplan, next immediate steps and activities. The Consortium also held conversations on the ethics and security factors that need to be taken into account. IANUS’ role in the project is multifaceted, consisting of leading tasks pertaining to Quality Assurance and Risk Management, Vulnerability Assessment Methodology, Exploitation & Sustainability Strategy, as well as the leading the Working Package on Training, Piloting and Evaluation.

SMI2G: Brokerage Event 2023

Mr. George Koumourtzis Director of Ianus Consulting representing Ianus Consulting in #SMI2G23 clustering event in Paris.
 
An interesting program with keynote speeches, panel discussions and pitch presentations related to all destinations of the #HEU #CL3 Civil Security for Society work programme. Over 300 participants shared their ideas, engaged in discussions, expanded their network and established valuable contacts to build consortia.

Anti-FinTer: 2nd Community Event & General Assembly

Andria Hadjithekli on behalf of IANUS, participated in the General Assembly and the 2nd Community Event of the Anti-FinTer project taking place in the Hague between 8-10th May 2023.
During this event, a series of activities have been carried out, all aimed at improving law enforcement capabilities and increasing capacity and develop expertise in terrorism financing related to activities in new technologies such as crypto-assets and dark web.
Activities:
– Knowledge Hub Meeting: Dark Web Fundamentals,
– Training in new research techniques using GraphSense, Visual Analytics, OrdainSare and Dark Web Monitor,
– Hackathon to test the developed techniques.
